From the beginning of his working life on, Daniel worked 9-5 jobs as a mechanical engineer with a huge weak spot for videogames.
Becoming married to an architecture student showed him that his homeoffice workplace might be functional, but the lack of aesthetic choices and abundance of distractions made it hard to focus.
Plants started to appear, which not only improved the air quality, but also calmed him down to focus better.
His homeoffice wasn't the only thing that changed. He might have iterated through multiple desks, monitor setups, chairs and even rooms, but there will always be room for improvement.
Then, there was a realisation: a cozy living room is much more than just sticking a huge sofa in it and calling it a day.
Suddenly, their living room started gaining character, and setting a mood. Since the living room is also the representative room, the welcoming, yet elegant japandi style was a perfect fit.
Continuing on, there were a few rooms to update in their 1950s home. For the bedroom, they chose to go with the hygge style, and there might be some midcentury lounge or landhaus kitchen finding their place.
